Inside The Wire…
Not everyone in Vietnam was a combat troop out on patrol, a large support organisation existed for them "inside the wire". This support could come from a Fire Support Bases (FSB) for example, but lets not forget the guys in the rear who worked the communications, mess kitchens, logistics, administrative duties and all the other jobs that makes a combat troop effective in the field.
Lets also not forget the truckers on dangerous supply runs between Camps and Fire Support Bases.
These are our Camp/ TOC / FSB "inside the wire" pictures that the group have taken over several years. These feature members of past and present "No Slack" and from other re-enactment/living history groups that we have worked with over the years. It often takes several days to create these environments that the group members live in for the duration of a show.
1965 Bien Hoa Air Base was one of the most sought bases Before we got to come home all the B-57s were lost on May 16, 1965, on a Sunday morning. That morning and the 3 days that followed was the greatest tragedy in the history of the USAF.
