In 2008 No Slack were asked to join the Huey 509 team (www.huey.co.uk) at ‘Trucks and Troops at Beaulieu Motor museum. The Vietnam veteran UH1H Huey had only been in the country a little under twelve months. The aircraft had been restored back to flying condition by North West Helicopters based in Olympia, Seattle. Simon Johnson one of the Huey team had known Mark and Judith, members of No Slack, for a good number of years and realised that having the living history group in period uniform and carrying all the kit, would be a great addition to the display.

After the grass had gone everywhere during the landing and the Huey had been towed into position, a young Bradley Johnson got to work checking the aircraft over.

No Slack certainly added to the atmosphere and impression the Huey made at the event adding that extra element. Many a conversation was struck up with the public.
This was the start of a very long relationship between No Slack and the Huey 509 team.
